Woop Woop Labs runs Facebook Pages that offer free resources, such as a PDF guide, to people who comment a keyword on a post. This policy covers the service that sends that resource by Messenger.
When someone comments on a post on one of our Facebook Pages, Meta sends our service a notification of that comment. It contains the comment's ID, the post's ID, the comment text, and the commenter's name and Facebook ID.
We check whether the comment contains the keyword for that post. If it does, and the comment is on a post we set up for this and is less than 7 days old, we send the commenter one Messenger message (a Meta "Private Reply") with a link to the resource. The first name in the notification may be used to greet you in that message.
We never message anyone who did not comment the keyword. We do not add you to a list, and we send nothing further unless you start a conversation with the Page yourself.
For each comment that matches a keyword, we keep a record of: the comment ID, the post and Page IDs, the keyword matched, the link sent, whether sending succeeded (with Meta's message ID, or Meta's error message if it failed), and when. We keep this record for 180 days, after which it is deleted automatically, usually within a few days of expiring. It exists so we never message the same comment twice, and to count how many people asked for each resource. Deleted records remain in our database backups for up to 35 days.
We do not store your name, your Facebook ID, or the text of your comment. Our service logs contain comment and post IDs (no names or text) and are deleted after 30 days.
A comment ID can be linked back to your comment by Meta, so we treat these records as personal information.
The link we send carries tags (utm_source, utm_medium,
utm_campaign, utm_content) naming the campaign and post, so the website can
tell the visit came from that post. They contain nothing about you.
We do not sell or share this information. It is stored on Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia. Messages are delivered through Meta's Messenger platform, under Meta's privacy policy.
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time; see data deletion. Deleting your comment on Facebook does not delete our record, so please contact us as well.
